Coffs Harbour to Airlie July 2021

Greg bought Midnight Blue new in Melbourne about 2 years ago. Since then, as a novice sailor Greg's learning curve has been steep to say the least. He had the assistance of an experienced blue water sailor getting the boat to Pittwater but needed help from Coffs getting further north. He phoned at just the right time and I was available when the next weather window arrived a couple of days later. Off we set initially to Bundaberg but realising that we were working so well together and that it would have been potentially hazardous doing the remainder of the trip to Airlie single handed, Greg asked me to continue on to Airlie which I happily did. Just one stop for fuel (and to stitch up the lazy jacks) at Kepple Bay and arrived at Airlie after some absolute champagne conditions after 6 days. Given the current situation with lockdowns, Im sure Greg is very happy with his new home and location and plans to be there until at least October. I'll be interested to see where his adventures lead him then.
