Johan and Elmarie purchased Ethel Jean less than a year ago. In that time they managed to do an incredible job going over the whole boat Johan concentrating on above decks, Elmarie below. Even with their fastidiousness, still we had several issues as the age of the boat caught up with the strain of the 1500 nautical mile voyage. Nothing serious but enough to keep us entertained trying to solve as much as possible whilst underway. Regular crew Danie and brother Tim crewed for me and were terrific company for the 2 week duration of the voyage. The weather was very kind and we only needed to stop for weather for a total of one and a half days.
