New owner Jay asked me to assist with the delivery of Oui Ca Va from Sydney (Pittwater) to Yamba. On board also were two of Jay's adult children Brodie and Rachael who were delightful company as well as excellent crew who all took their fair share of watches and other onboard activities. Conditions were totally not as forecast and our perfect SE 15 knots turned out to be quite bumpy, fully on the nose from north east for the first couple of days, but finally went very light easterly and we had a great final run up to Yamba. After calling into Coffs for dinner and to have a few hours sleep, we left at midnight to enable arriving at the Yamba bar crossing early the following morning to match the turning high tide. Safely through the entrance and carefully navigating the shallow waters to the marina where Jay will stay for the time being.
