Glenn searched for some time to find Blue Nose up at Airlie and in my opinion it was worth the wait. Having sailed Ann Louise (Bavaria 32) from Sydney to Hobart previously, I was familiar with the fantastic layout of these yachts and the 34 was equally as impressive. From the moment my crew Rocky and I stepped on board, we couldn’t believe this was a 34ft yacht not 40ft like the ones either side of us. It is incredibly spacious and well planned. I especially like the galley and head being just aft of centre  (great in a seaway).

We had medium to strong SE wind with current against and up to 3 mtr swell the whole way but the yacht handled it remarkably well for a boat of this size.

Along the way we serviced the macerator which was beginning to fail. The stitching on the genoa head webbing failed  which resulted in clever retrieval via the boat hook of the halyard as we were without a bosuns chair.

Again Rocky provided excellent crew work, cooking and assistance as ships engineer.

I have nothing but praise for this vessel. Good sailing to Glenn and family.
