Gold Coast to Yepoon November 2025…

Rikki Wright (hence the name of the boat) contacted me from a referral from The Catamaran Company at Boatworks whom he purchased the cat through. Upgrading from the Aquila 40 he currently owned, was looking forward to the extra space and having the tender out of the way on the aft roof. There were a few jobs on the list by the time we arrived in Yeppoon but with time I’m confident Rikki will bring her back to ‘as new’ condition. This was an owner assist and so just Rikki and myself and we had a great time together with many interesting conversations. Thank you Rikki and hope to catch up again soon.

ps I have included a pic of the window showing the clears have shade cloth roll downs to cut out the low sun. I haven’t seen this before and thought they were a fantastic solution to a common problem. Designed with a double zip, outer one for the clear then an additional zip on the interior to zip the shade. Very clever and although we didn’t try it, Im pretty sure that the shade could be zipped down with the clear up to allow ventilation.
